Getting Here and Around

Guápiles lies just north of Braulio Carrillo National Park and straddles the highway to the Caribbean. It's an easy one-hour drive from San José just 60 km (38 miles) to the southwest, or Limón 84 km (50 miles) to the east. Grupo Caribeños buses connect San José's Gran Terminal del Caribe with Guápiles every half hour from early morning until late evening, and provide service seven times daily to Guácimo. The Guápiles terminal is 200 meters south of the stadium. San José's bus terminals are in sketchy neighborhoods, so take care if this is your mode of transportation.
