The ins and outs of Costa Rica's favorite yellow fruit are on display at this banana plantation and packing plant in Bananito, just south of Limón. The hour-long tour is geared primarily toward cruise passengers. A longer tour takes place at a larger installation near Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí in northern Costa Rica. Standard Fruit does business as "Dole" in North America.
