Fodor's Review

The small Creole village of Gales Point, population about 500, has an idyllic setting on the Southern Lagoon. The lagoon and nearby waters are home to many manatees. Gales Point is home to several drum makers, including Boombay Andrewin, who gives Creole-style drumming lessons (about BZ$16 an hour). You can drive to Gales Point, and tours are available from Dangriga and Hopkins.
