Getting Here and Around

The direct train from and to St. Gallen takes 48 minutes, or if you want a change of scenery, an alternative route goes via Herisau. A small highway (No. 3) leads into the hills through Teufen; the quaint Appenzell–Teufen–Gais rail line also serves the region.
