Nordic Hotel

Fodor's Review:

Next to the central station, this modern center for the business traveler is actually two hotels—Nordic Light and Nordic Sea—in one. Nordic Light focuses on simplicity, and, not surprisingly, light plays an important role, with responsive sound-and-movement systems in the lobby and multiple light settings, including light-therapy treatment, in the rooms. Rooms are a mix of dark wood, gray flannel, and black-and-white tile, with adjustable spotlights in the ceiling. Nordic Sea uses lighter wood with lots of blue fabric and mosaic tiles to create a Mediterranean touch. A huge aquarium in the lobby holds exotic fish, and you can chill out in Stockholm's only ice bar, where the temperature never rises above freezing. For something more classic, Nordic Light's all-white martini bar offers more than 200 takes on the cocktail of cocktails.
