A late 18th-century palace formerly owned by the Duke of Noblejas, this hotel retains a good part of its noble past: a gorgeous wooden staircase, some of the old moldings, and stained windows. It has a classic feel without being ostentatious or overwhelming. Rooms are elegant and wallpapered in tones of gray, whereas bathrooms—with blander decor—are quite decent in size for the city's standards. Better still, it's just a few yards from Plaza Santa Ana. Pros: Tasteful room decor, big walk-in shower, has triple rooms, great location. Cons: Common areas are rather dull.
