Parador de Ávila Review
A largely rebuilt 16th-century medieval castle attached to the massive town walls, one of the standout features of Ávila's parador is its lush garden with archaeological ruins. The interior is unusually warm, done mostly in tawny tones, and the common rooms, elegantly decorated, if somewhat formal, are convivial places to meet for a beverage. Guest rooms have terra-cotta tile floors, leather chairs, and four-poster beds.
