This tastefully renovated 17th-century mansion built over the ruins of a Roman house in the historic center of town is one of the city's top lodging options. Archaeological remains combine with contemporary features, as in Roman ruins visible beneath the glass floor of one of the patios and the dining room. Clever lighting and a relaxing spa complete the mélange of contemporary and antique. The spacious rooms have parquet floors, exposed brick walls, and many original architectural features.
