This tastefully renovated 17th-century mansion, built over the ruins of a Roman house in the historic center of town, is one of the city's top lodging options, where archaeological remains combine with contemporary features—Roman ruins are visible beneath the glass floor of one of the patios and the dining room—and clever lighting and a relaxing spa complete the mélange of contemporary and antique.
