At the foot of Vøringfossen waterfall and Måbødalen valley, the Hardangervidda Natursenter Eidfjord focuses on the area's geology, biology, and archaeology. Over half a billion years ago Norway was south of the equator. Twenty-five million years ago glaciers began their descent over Norway. An interactive program explains how glaciers form, grow, and recede.
