Fodor's Review

This 1895 landmark is a training ground for students of the country's top hotel management schools, which accounts for the fresh-faced staff and eager service in the contemporarily styled, high-ceilinged guest rooms and acclaimed restaurant. The location is slightly off center, but still convenient to the Vondelpark, main museums, and shops and restaurants; P.C. Hooftstraat, the city's most exclusive shopping street, is within walking distance, as is the food market on

Albert Cuypstraat.

An Enjoyable Experience

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for (2) nights and found it a wonderful experience. The hotel was very close a downtown tram stop and a short stroll to must see art museaums. The rooms had high ceilings, soothing colors and comfortable bedding. The bathroom was huge with grab bars and both hand held and overhead shower fixtures. The room was clean and nicely designed. The ambience within the hotel was very zen like. Only downside was that

the bar and sitting areas were usually cluttered with smokers.
