Fodor's Review:

This miniature Bois de Boulogne was built by and named after the noted city benefactor Samuel Sarphati (1813-66), whose statue deservedly graces the central fountain. This park, with paths undulating along trees, ponds, and expanses of grass, can be considered a kinder, gentler, and definitely much smaller Vondelpark. It's the perfect place to picnic on everything you picked up at the Albert Cuypmarkt.
