Air Travel

While there are no direct flights to and from the US, Air Malta operates year-round connections to the following cities that do have direct flights from the US: Vienna, Austria; Paris Charles-de-Gaulle, France; Berlin and Frankfurt, Germany; Milan-Linate and Rome-Fiumicino, Italy; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Geneva and Zurich, Switzerland; London-Gatwick, London-Heathrow and Manchester, UK. Other airlines that fly to Malta are Lufthansa from Frankfurt, Alitalia from Rome-Fiumicino, and Easyjet from London Gatwick and Manchester.

Malta International Airport is 6 km (4 miles) south of Valletta.

Harbour Air, a seaplane company, makes the 10-minute flight from Malta to Gozo several times daily. Harbour Air also operates 30-minute pleasure flights around Malta and Gozo from a base next to the cruise port.
