Fodor's Review

Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts. One of Rome's ritziest resorts, the Rome Cavalieri is a hilltop oasis far from the hustle and bustle of the centro, with magnificent views, lush gardens, an Olympic-sized pool, and a palatial spa. The resort, which was formerly a Hilton but is now owned by Waldorf-Astoria, offers a complimentary shuttle service to get you to the city center. Guest rooms (ask for one facing the city) are spacious, with striped

damask, puffy armchairs, and no shortage of luxe amenities, including the Waldorf-Astoria's "pillow menu." Many have large balconies. The true crème de la crème is La Pergola, the hotel's rooftop restaurant, which is renowned as one of Rome's very best, with three Michelin stars.
