Rome Cavalieri Review

Though it's outside the city center, distance has its advantages—in addition to the magnificent view over Rome from its hilltop site, this place feels more like a ritzy resort because of it's vast grounds and Olympic-size pool. There's a smart poolside restaurant and caffè, and legions of cushioned lounge chairs scattered throughout the greenery. Guest rooms (ask for one facing the city) are spacious, often with a large balcony, and have puffy armchairs and Waldorf-Astoria amenities, such as a "pillow menu." The strawberry on top is the rooftop La Pergola restaurant, with three Michelin stars, renowned as one of Rome's very best.

    WOW...I mean WOW!

Spectacular view, great onsite facilities and shuttle to everything downtown. I was on a business rewards trip, so I didn't pay directly, but things are a bit expensive once there. However, the view from our room on the 9th floor was out of this world! Great overall stay, truly memorable and once in a lifetime and worth a special occasion splurge.
