Why We Like It

Hotel Miami is a good budget option in Rome, located on the historic Via Nazionale. You'll be well-connected to all of the best offerings of ancient Rome on foot, and an easy metro ride to further off destinations like the Vatican. Staff are very friendly and will work to provide you with whatever you may need to make your stay more comfortable. It's a great option if you plan on spending most of your time outside of the hotel.

Fodor's Expert Review

The hotel's biggest draw may be its proximity to main bus lines, Termini station, and the Metro. Hotel Rome is well situated on Rome's Via Nazionale where you'll have the convenience being well-connected without feeling like you're staying next to a train station. The comfy, low-key hotel is situated in a dignified 19th-century building. While rooms are modest, they're comfortable and cozy and provide a great stomping ground for exploring the city. It's also conveniently close to plenty of shops and cafés. Winter rates (November–February) are a good bargain.

Room

The simple, clean rooms have mosaic floors or red carpeting, oak furniture and blue satin quilts. Soundproofed windows are ideal for keeping out traffic noise. While many rooms could use a refresh, from old-style TVs to dated carpeting, everything is cozy and welcoming. Basic amenities are included: free Wi-Fi, cable TV, safe, air conditioning and minibar. While rooms are on the small side, closet space is plentiful thanks to classically designed wardrobes. Pictures of the old city adorn the walls.

Tip Beds and pillow are quite old, so ask for extra pillows if you need a more comfy sleep.

Bathroom

Bathrooms are on the small side, with a wall-mounted hairdryer and simple toiletries. Amber or green colored tiles line the walls.

Tip Ask for a room with a bathtub if you are tall. The showers here run very small.

Dining

The breakfast is served in a simple dining room decorate in colors of gold with Roman iconography on the walls. You won't have the most abundant choices here, but there are plenty of breads, meats, cheeses, cereals and fruits in the continental-style breakfast.
