Fodor's Review

The stunning, pinkish-white, 11th-century cathedral, considered one of the finest in Puglia, is built on a spit of land jutting into the sea. Dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Pilgrim, it was a favorite place of prayer for crusaders embarking for war in the Holy Land. Its lofty bell tower can be visited by request at the nearby Museo Diocesiano. The climb is worth it for the view.
