Fodor's Review

In addition to honoring Italy's design talent, the Triennale also offers a regular series of exhibitions on design from around the world. A spectacular bridge entrance leads to a permanent collection, an exhibition space, and a stylish café (whose seating is an encyclopedia of design icons). The Triennale also manages the fascinating museum-studio of designer Achille Castiglioni, in nearby Piazza Castello (hour-long guided tours Tuesday to Friday 10, 11, noon, Thursday 6:30, 7:30, 8:30; €10. Call or email in advance to book a tour; 02/805–3606 or www.achillecastiglioni.it).
