Bus Travel

Most travelers tour the Amalfi Drive by bus. SITA Sud (Sicurezza Trasporti Autolinee South) buses make the trip many times daily 6 am–10 pm (less often on Sunday, bank holidays, and major festival days). The bus from Sorrento to Amalfi stops at Positano (at Chiesa Nuova and Sponda), Praiano, and Conca dei Marini along the way. SITA bus drivers will stop anywhere on the main route as long as you state your destination when boarding. Tickets cost from €2.90 for a corso semplice (one-stop journey) to €12 for a 24-hour SITA pass. Tickets must be purchased in advance and inserted in the time-stamp machine when you enter the bus; vendors can be found in cafés, bars, and newsstands.
