Fodor's Review

Michalis Melenos worked for years to make this stone villa set into gardens overlooking Lindos bay into a truly special retreat, filling rooms with traditional Lindian village beds, hand-carved woodwork, Turkish tiles, and antique furnishings brought from throughout Greece and Turkey. Colorful Turkish fountains splash throughout the grounds and a tranquil terrace, bathed by lamplight in evening, is the stage for the restaurant's inspired Mediterranean cuisine. All rooms open to terraces decorated with bits and pieces of statuary and architectural fragments and overlooking the sea; stepped streets lead from the garden gate down to a lovely bay for swimming. Staff meet guests in the town square and cart your luggage through the narrow streets to the hotel; to help guests stay connected, laptops are on loan for free.
