Fodor's Expert Review 10GR Hotel & Wine Bar

Rhodes Town, Rhodes, 85100, Greece

A new addition to the Old Town in 2018, this rather neat hotel makes use of vaulted stone cells dating back 600 years. Rooms are small, but large Art Deco--style murals, vintage furniture, clever lighting, and a cunningly concealed bathroom make them seem larger and, despite their size, luxurious. This place has character in spades. Outside, each cell has its own patio area, and downstairs, where breakfast is served in the morning, is perhaps the best wine bar in the city. A collection of 250 Greek wines run the gamut from pittance to pricey, making this a pleasant spot to while away the evening. It's open all year.

PROS

  • rooms are quiet and away from the bustle below
  • there's nothing else quite like it in the city
  • great wines to choose from

CONS

  • this area can be pretty noisy
  • there isn't much space in the rooms
  • as ever, there's no parking
