Archaeological Museum Review

The thick walls of this red-stone building, built in 1713 to serve as the storehouse for the Venetian fleet, ensure the coolest interior in town. The museum houses artifacts from such nearby sites as Mycenae, Tiryns, Asine, and Dendra; the loot from Mycenaean tombs is especially rich and includes wonderful masks and a suit of armor.
