Buddenbrookhaus

Buddenbrookhaus Review

Two highly respectable-looking mansions are devoted to two of Germany's most prominent writers, Thomas Mann (1875-1955) and Günter Grass (born 1927). The older mansion is named after Mann's saga Buddenbrooks. Mann's family once lived here, and it's now home to the Heinrich und Thomas Mann Zentrum, a museum documenting the brothers' lives. A tour and video in English are offered.
