Fodor's Review:

This is the address for luxury in Munich, as it has been since 1841, when His Majesty Ludwig I of Bavaria came twice a month to take a "royal bath," as his own residence lacked a bathtub. He probably never imagined that 167 years later guests would enjoy a magnificent view over Munich while swimming in a rooftop pool. Today the guest rooms have everything from fireplaces and whirlpool tubs to antique furniture and flat screen TVs; huge windows frame the fabulous view and some suites have kitchens. In addition to the excellent Bavarian restaurant Palais Keller there are four very different restaurants to choose from in-house. When meeting someone at "the bar," specify which one: there are five, as well as a nightclub. Pros: posh public rooms with valuable oil paintings, the roof garden restaurant has an impressive view of the Frauenkirche just two blocks away, impressive amenities and views. Con: expensive.

Even the driver here was the best ! The room was gorgeous - view not too good - but I'm sure for the money we could have had better. The food and the atmosphere in the outside dining garden was unbelieveable. We were on a meal plan but the were very nice about changing the courses at no additional charge. We would definitely stay here again.
