Fodor's Review

King Louis XI built this pretty stable complex in the late 15th century to provide quality accommodations for his horses, knights, and blacksmiths; now it’s been converted into a slick modern hotel. Large-windowed guest rooms manage to be both minimalistic and charming, glowing in white-on-white and chic pastel hues, warmed with working fireplaces. Centered around a spacious courtyard, the picturesque retreat also has a rose garden and a "bio-gastronomic" pink-walled

dining room that serve lunch and candlelit dinners (closed Tuesday–Wednesday and first two weeks in January).
