Luxurious, character-filled decor and a flavorful restaurant make this gracious old hotel near the Jardins de la Fontaine a local institution, and handsome woods and rich fabrics ensure guest rooms live up to the reputation. The quirky Hemingway bar in the downstairs lobby opens to a delicious flower garden, and the gourmet Enclos de la Fontaine is one of the best tables in Nîmes (although over-elaborate for some tastes).
