Ashfield House

3 Summers Fold, Grassington, BD23 5AE, England

Three converted 17th-century stone cottages, once the homes of Grassington lead miners, make up this well-run small hotel off the main street. Expect a cheery welcome on arrival, a cozy brick-and-beam sitting room, and a walled garden. Pine furniture features prominently in the cozy, comfortable bedrooms. It's worth asking ahead for the deliciously hearty set dinner (served five nights a week Easter–October, weekends only in winter).
