Air

Southern Dalmatia is served by Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) at Čilipi, 18 km (11 miles) southeast of the city.

The national carrier, Croatia Airlines, operates direct internal flights between Dubrovnik and Zagreb year-round. Through summer, there are regular direct flights between Dubrovnik and many European destinations with Croatia Airlines and other budget airlines, including easyJet. British Airways operates flights year-round between Dubrovnik and London. It is also possible to fly direct to Barcelona, Istanbul, and Rome throughout the winter.

The Platanus shuttle bus travels several times per day between the airport and the main bus station in Gruž (55 Kn one way; 80 Kn return). It also drops people off at the Pile Gate on the way from the airport, and picks up from a stop near the cable car so if you're staying in the Old Town, these are your more convenient options. The shuttle meets all incoming flights upon arrival, while the trip back to the airport is usually scheduled for two hours before flight departure times. Consult the website for exact timing as it changes daily.
