Would you like to start your mornings with a stroll by a pool flowered with water lilies? You'll find this green oasis between the two buildings that comprise the Auersperg—the hotel, built in 1892 by the noted Italian architect Ceconi, and its neighboring "villa." The lobby welcomes you with Biedermeier antiques, while upstairs, the rooms contain mostly modern pieces accented with classic ornaments. A rich breakfast buffet and a rooftop sauna and steam bath are included. You're five minutes from the historic section. A big plus: just around the corner is that Salzburg treasure of a restaurant-beer garden, Die Weisse. Pros: historic hotel; great breakfast. Cons: on a busy intersection.

Hotel Lobby is beautiful and lots of apples in bowls. Book a room with a view of the garden - the sounds are relaxing. Bed linens were very comfy. Breakfast is very nice! Huge assortment of cereals, breads, typical European fare of meats and cheeses and the more American breakfast of eggs and sausage/bacon. Lots of juices and fresh cut and whole fruit. Wrap around windows to look out of or you can sit outside. There dinner menu is not so great and their desserts and limited. Good sized bar but was always empty. The top floor's solarium and deck is WONDERFUL. Dry and Wet sauna and lots of chairs and blankets to relax with. You can schedule a massage as well - highly recommend! Only a 6 minute walk to the Mirabelle main square and all the types of transportation. Get the 1.5 hour tour with Panaramic tours, the combo that comes with the City Card. Well worth it and the tour will orient you. Small old town area and easy to walk around. Regular town is only ok looking and not worth walking around much. Hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station. I was pregnant with luggage and made it fine. If I ever go back to Salzburg I will stay at this hotel again for sure.

This hotel was warm and wonderful. The rooms were very generously sized, and the breakfast buffet, served in a fabulously sleek, sunny room, was very good. The location was very convenient too. They were also wonderful about catering to our young family's needs. Highly recommended.
