Oceana Restaurant and Wine Bar Review
In the old Russian consulate great house at the tip of the Frenchtown peninsula, this restaurant offers superb views along with fresh seafood dishes expertly prepared by longtime Virgin Islands chef Patricia LaCourte and her staff. Specialties include a pan-seared sea bass served on a saffron risotto cake with white-truffle butter, as well as bouillabaisse chockfull of mussels, manila clams, shrimp, and Caribbean lobster simmered in a tomato-saffron broth. Walk off a big meal with a five-minute stroll into nearby Frenchtown, where several bars have a DJ or live music on the weekends.
