On top of St. Germain Bistro & Café, and in the former headquarters of the Nationalist Party, The Mezzanine is a contemporary take on the 1920s speakeasy. The chic space is conducive for sipping old-fashioneds or our favorite, the Peridot, made with gin and muddled basil and orange—very refreshing after walking the hills of Old San Juan. Tapas are served all day. Choose from the brie and prosciutto montaditos with wild mushroom oil, the sweet and tangy meatballs, or the Greek-style ceviche. The Mezzanine also hosts one of the best happy hours in town, Tuesday through Friday from 4 to 8. Enjoy select tapas and cocktails for half off. You can't beat that in San Juan! Their boozy brunch is very popular on weekends.
