Doubletree by Hilton San Juan Review
It's hard to beat this hotel for the price. It's geared slightly more to business travelers but offers an excellent value for anyone who doesn't need to be in central Condado or on the beach. It's across the street from a 24-hour supermarket, near the on-ramp to a major highway, and within walking distance of lots of main attractions and restaurants.The immaculate rooms are modern, yet warm, decorated in rich reds and browns. Some also have a Murphy bed (of the same mattress quality as the main bed) that can be folded up for more space. With Crabtree & Evelyn products in the bathroom, Wolfgang Puck coffee and a coffeemaker in each room, ergonomic desk chairs, and warm cookies at check-in, there's clearly an emphasis on comfortable details that make a hotel stay more pleasant.

Doubletree by Hilton San Juan Review
Loved the Doubletree San Juan!! The staff was all super friendly and the choc chip cookies they give you at check-in (and pretty much whenever you ask for one
are to die for!
If you're not obsessed with being beachfront or on the main strip of Condado (Ashford Ave), the Doubletree is definitely the best option in the area. Its only about 3 city blocks away in either direction to tons of restaurants, bars, casinos and other attractions like Ocean Park Beach and the PR Museum of Art.
The rooms are very nice and have a mini-fridge and microwave; which makes having the 24 hour supermarket across the street super convenient. The rooms also have free wi-fi, which I think is so rare in hotels.
All in all, a definite gem and I would totally stay again.by dmoll, 10/31/11
