Chez Henri Review
This hip place on the water, flanked by the town pier, is named for its passionate chef–owner, Henri Vergerolle. An island character, he spent much of his life in France and returned to create this combination restaurant and cultural center. Begin with a rum and fresh-squeezed juice. Smoked fish can be a component of a salad or an appetizer; the creole omelet is an app, too. It's quite an original, with breadfruit and sweet potatoes. Another innovation is the fish of the day with a Caribe sauce. Kick back and listen to African blues and view the latest art or sculpture exhibits. You might have the good luck to be here when there's a live music concert.
