Club Med Punta Cana Review
Whimsy and camaraderie are characteristic of this family-friendly resort—Punta Cana's original all-inclusive—newly redesigned and situated on 75 tropical acres, with a coastline of white-sandy shores. Baby and Petite Club Med provides indoor and outdoor age-appropriate programs for children up to two years old. Activities for older children include everything from Petit Tennis to cooking class, where they learn how to create local dishes. Kids are invited to enjoy the Pyjama Club so their parents can enjoy a quiet dinner and the evening's show. At the teen center, a create-your-own-soda bar is a bubbling hit, and a skate park gives boarders a venue to show off those ollies and slides. The lively beach bar is a hotbed, by day and late night, with light fare served until 2 am. The deluxe spa has 10 treatment rooms and oceanfront palapas for beach massages. The 200-person convention center is also on the seafront. As always, fun, interesting staffers (called G.O.s, or "gracious organizers") spark things up, encouraging participation in everything from merengue lessons to circus programs and water aerobics. They go off-site, too, accompanying guests on jungle excursions with zip lining. Day passes are available for $99, $103 by night, $125 for Friday's gala.
