Fodor's Review

At this serene, oceanfront resort, rustic natural beauty and high architectural style blend seamlessly. The big news is that the recent addition, with more swim-out suites and ocean-view rooms including a penthouse with a private elevator, has doubled the size—those are the accommodations you want. The pool snakes through the grounds, making swim-out suites an alluring option, but the virgin beach provides dramatic vistas, too. (Sand is not white, however, and currents

threaten.) Resort concierges can organize helicopter tours/airport transfers, or simply lend you a DVD. Some wonderful amenities are included like unlimited worldwide calling. There's no buffet dining here, in keeping with efforts to avoid any association to high-volume, low-budget, all-inclusives. An adult-oriented resort, children are allowed, but kids 2–12 are charged adult rates.
