Though it's not a sprawling resort, this renowned historic property has a Caribbean cachet that's hard to beat, thanks to its lovely gardens, prime North Shore location just across from the sand, and its iconic restaurants, which are set in a 400-year-old sugar mill and on the beach, respectively. Rooms are attractively decorated—with more than the usual floral spreads—and have balconies with good views, kitchens or kitchenettes, and some sofa beds. The resort offers an all-inclusive package on weekly bookings that includes three meals daily; all stays include breakfast.
