Reopened and completely reinvented in 2022 by new owners following devastation by Hurricane Irma, this chic and ultra-posh resort on one of the island's most gorgeous stretches of beach features airy accommodations with private verandahs, urbane design-driven decor, stylish 1748 Restaurant and Johnny's Beach Bar, and a slew of pleasurable amenities, from massages on the beach to cabanas and daybeds. Given its relative isolation on the northwestern shore, you may not be inclined to make many excursions, but the food and drink on-site are excellent. Surfboards, paddleboards, and boogie boards are available for guest use, and the staff can set you up with snorkeling, sailing, yoga, and plenty of other activities. Rooms have air-conditioning.
