Expect a tranquil, refined environment and friendly service from longtime staff at this bright, blue-shuttered, white manor house in the center of Hamilton town. Inside the main house, built in 1906, three traditional rooms have 12-foot ceilings and antique and reproduction furniture, though no balconies. The two-story building behind the main house is newer, set alongside a relaxing tropical garden. Rooms here have bamboo floors and flat-screens, and some have four-poster
beds and love seats. All rooms have either balconies or patios from which you can enjoy the garden setting and a central heated pool; it's easy to forget you're downtown. Rosedon has no restaurant, but a full breakfast is brought to your room or umbrella-shaded table, and there's a free traditional afternoon tea.

I've heard and read varying opinions about this property, but our experience was very enjoyable. We stayed in the out-building and not the main house. The room was clean, b-r-i-g-h-t-l-y colored, and overlooked a lush center garden which addes privacy. Favorite memory? Our waiter scampering across from the kitchen to our room to serve breakfast. Afternoon tea a nice touch. Also, just a nice walk into Hamilton. NOT for the beach crowd.

The Rosedon was perfect! The service was wonderful, the updated room was very clean and the location ideal. Enjoyed being able to walk into Hamilton and the short taxi ride to the beach. Would stay there again and encourage others to do so as well!
