Slightly off the beaten track, this authentic Indian restaurant is well worth the 10-minute walk or short cab ride from the town center. Start with vegetable samosas (small deep-fried turnovers), which are sure to whet your appetite. For your second course, you really can't go wrong with any entrée—meat, fish, or vegetarian. If you like spicy food, take on the chicken chetanod. It's hotter than a vindaloo, and not everyone has the palate for it. All the
naan (a flat, doughy bread) is freshly made in the tandoor, and the lassi (sweetened yogurt) drinks, particularly the mango, are delicious and refreshing. A filling weekday lunch buffet is worth every dollar ($17). Even though the restaurant has recently doubled in size, it still remains busy, but if you can't get a table, you can opt for takeout.
