Waterfront Café

Waterfront Café Review

This friendly bistro alongside the Careenage is the perfect place to enjoy a drink, snack, or meal—and to people-watch. Locals and tourists alike gather for all-day alfresco dining on sandwiches, salads, fish, pasta, pepper-pot stew, and tasty Bajan snacks such as buljol, fish cakes, or plantation pork (plantains stuffed with spicy minced pork). The panfried flying-fish sandwich is especially popular. In the evening you can gaze through the arched windows while savoring nouvelle Caribbean cuisine, enjoying cool trade winds, and listening to live jazz. There's a special Caribbean buffet and steel-pan music on Tuesday night from 7 to 9.

Happened upon this place and the food was superb! I'm from the Caribbean and this makes for one of the best local cuisine meals I've had in Barbados. It's located on the waterfront (hence the name) in Bridgetown (downtown) so parking is a bit of a hassle and the atmosphere isn't the best, but it's still great and worth it for the food!!
