W. Bay St., Gambier, New Providence Island, Bahamas
This whimsical-looking hotel made up of brightly colored one- and two-story cottages offers a relaxing alternative to many of the area's major resorts. Oceanfront rooms at the hotel, which was built by Island Records founder Chris Blackwell, include a private downstairs deck complete with a kitchenette for entertaining. Windows on all sides of the rooms open to allow a cool breeze to drift in. Sit on the dock and enjoy one of the most stunning sunset views the island has to offer. There's Wi-Fi access throughout, but for those who don't bring a laptop, a closet has been converted into Hut.com, complete with a computer and printer for guests.
