The Manchebo Beach Resort is a small intimate resort with a beautiful wide stretch of beach, good restaurants and a great bar at night.
Their staff is friendly and always helpful. The recent updates to their rooms are a big improvement to the resort. It’s the perfect place to relax on the beach and forget about the rest of the world. We stayed at Manchebo at the end of October into the beginning of November of 2011 for our third stay.
Manchebo has a pristine beach with lot of palapas for shade. Good drink service on the beach is something that we really appreciate. Manchebo has flags that you put in the sand to let the waitresses know when you want to order a drink or lunch.
The staff at the Manchebo is what makes the resort shine. From the bartenders to the maids they were all helpful and accommodating and made our stay perfect. We enjoyed the live music and the two for one drink specials every night from 5 to 7 PM at their Pega Pega bar. It’s a fun friendly environment to hang out before dinner. We also enjoyed hanging out and listening to music, talking with the staff or watching TV at the bar after dinner.
Manchebo has two restaurants on property. We enjoyed our dinners at the French Steakhouse but we only had breakfast at Giorgio's. They have many breakfast choices available and we tried to order them all once during our stay. We loved the Gouda and croissants. Giorgio’s has both indoor and outdoor tables. If you sit outside for breakfast, you’ll probably see iguanas but they won’t bother you. We didn’t go all inclusive since there are so many good restaurants on the island.
Manchebo has a weekly manager’s cocktail party on Tuesdays where they serve complementary drinks and appetizers under the pavillon. The singer/musician, Brian played fun music at the party. Edgar, the hotel manager mingled with the guests. He seems very proud of what they’ve done with the hotel and wants it to be a success. Manchebo is wonderful low key small resort with personalized service. We can’t wait to return.
