Ocean Inn Review

Views of English Harbour, affable management, and affordability distinguish this homey inn. The main house has six snug guest rooms (two share a bathroom), but the four hillside cottages are recommended (especially Numbers 8 and 9). The owners can provide light dinners with advance notice, though restaurants are only a short hike away. There are several beaches within a 10-minute drive. In season, the small, mural-adorned pool hosts impromptu parties that lure local characters, sea dogs, and eccentric expats for cheap drinks and amusing tall tales.
