Wellington and the Wairarapa Sights

Carter Observatory Review

In the Planetarium lie back and watch an almost limitless range of virtual space journeys. On clear nights view the heavens through the observatory telescope. Don't miss the state-of-the-art displays and a remarkable collection of artifacts including the oldest working telescope of its kind in the country. The observatory is only a 2 minute walk from the top of the Kelburn Cable Car, but you may also wander up from the Botanical gardens.
