Peak Season: September to December

Temperatures average between 79–86°F (26–30 °C), so it's neither unbearably hot nor terribly sticky. Rain, too, is unlikely. The trade-off is Southern Hemisphere tourists on summer holidays and higher hotel prices.

Off Season: January to March

These are the hottest months of the year and bring about cyclone season, though some years it's very mild. Depending on your homebase, this time of year can have well-priced airline tickets.

Shoulder Season: June to August

Cold season in New Caledonia brings daytime temperatures to around 75°F (24 °C)—less than ideal for beach-goers but perfect for hikers. By night, it can cool down to below 60°F.
