Nourlangie Rock Review
Like the main Kakadu escarpment, Nourlangie Rock is a remnant of an ancient plateau that is slowly eroding, leaving sheer cliffs rising high above the floodplains. The main attraction is the Anbangbang Gallery, an excellent frieze of Aboriginal rock paintings.
- Address: 19 km (12 mi) from park headquarters on Kakadu Hwy.; turn left toward Nourlangie Rock, then follow paved road, accessible yr-round, 11 km (7 mi) to parking area, Kakadu National Park, NT, 0886
