Fodor's Review

Surrounded by stunning beaches and bush, this is a modest, quiet alternative for travelers looking to get back to basics without a party scene. The village centers around a large reception hall, where you can buy island maps, pick up snorkeling gear (free for guests), rent a motorized canoe, discover walking tracks, and meet other travelers. Varied accommodation includes two solar-powered, self-contained family houses, two cabins with ensuite bathrooms, twin and double

rooms in the main lodge; and permanent canvas tents with wood floors, twin or double beds, lights, and decks with outdoor furniture. There's a well-equipped communal kitchen, and a barbecue for cooking out. Bring your own groceries (buy extra supplies from the village store) or dine out at the only eatery, a pizzeria, open for lunch and some dinners. The resort has a minimum four-night stay; rates drop with longer stays.
