BLUE Sydney Review

This ultrahip hotel, part of the prestigious Taj Hotel group of India, occupies a former warehouse. Guests love the authentic structures of the former wharf (pulleys, giant trusses, and brontosaurus-like machinery) and its location (a stone's throw from the Opera House). The lobby is dominated by the hip Water Bar, one of Sydney's places to see and be seen. Guest rooms, which have a light, bright, cappuccino color scheme, are arranged like the cabins on a luxury liner, rising in tiers on the outside of the central cavity. The entire hotel is 100% smoke-free. There are five restaurants in the adjoining wharf complex, known as the Wooloomooloo "finger wharf."
