In a town not noted as a culinary hotspot, this popular venue offers decent enough options, but it's really less about the food here than the convivial atmosphere, fuelled by the house-brewed German-type beers. The light pilsner is popular with the local crowd, but the pick of the drops in the view of many is the velvety dark beer. While the beer is probably the star attraction here, the kitchen does a satisfactory job in supplying ballast to soak up all the alcohol. Adventurous eaters might want to try out the multitude of "interesting"-sounding dishes featuring obscure wildlife. More sensible souls will probably stick to the ocean-fresh seafood and Vietnamese rice and vegetable dishes.
