Ferries depart from Ratsada Pier on Phuket five times daily and reach Phi Phi Don two hours later. PP Cruiser also takes two hours to reach Phi Phi Don, but departs from Phuket's Makham Pier. A one-way ticket is B650, and a round-trip ticket is B1,000. Ferries traveling to Phuket from Ao Nang or Koh Lanta stop at Koh Phi Phi in the high season (November to April) as well. From Krabi, boats depart four times each day and cost B650. A few years ago local authorities implemented a B20 "clean-up" tax, collected upon arrival at the dock. It's not clear, however, how this money is being used, as there have been no immediately apparent improvements to the island's environment.
