Fodor's Review

A central location, friendly staff, and surprisingly top-notch kaiseki and hot-pot dinners make this traditional inn a good find. It's great for travelers who want the tatami-room experience, although light sleepers should be warned that the futons are a little thin. Western-style rooms are also available. Meals are served in a downstairs dining room. A comfortable lounge has computer terminals and ports for your laptop. Large Japanese-style baths for each sex are open

late. Traditional buildings give this neighborhood a lot of charm, and it's not far from action-packed city centers like Gion or Sanjo-dori.
