What makes a toilet the most beautiful in the world? Is it the expediency with which one can get in and get out? Is it the level of craftsmanship that can only be found in rare antiques?
According to Design Curial, the number one most beautiful public toilet is Ichihara, Japan’s “loo with a view.” The toilet, designed by architect Sou Fujimoto, features a simple toilet and sink encased in a glass cube which sits amongst a serene, tree-filled garden. The toilet, open only to women, allows its users to take in the 200-square meters of natural beauty while a privacy fence keeps the outside world at bay.
